Odigo Wellness celebrated their grand opening Saturday, Oct. 18, with a community ribbon cutting ceremony at their new facility at 3115 Hennepin Ave.

Four visionary wellness practitioners pooled their resources to purchase and renovate the building and establish a center that promotes both health and equity. Financing was provided through a creative collaboration between Vision Bank, Fortis Capital, the Lake Street Council, and the City of Minneapolis Two Percent Loans program. Additional support from the City's BTAP program enabled the launch of a dynamic web site.

“Buying commercial real estate is not for the faint of heart, but we were committed to creating stability for practitioners and building programs that serve our incredible community," said Marakah Mancini de León, director of cooperative strategy. "This was only possible because of community-minded funding streams and the individuals who do the work.”

Odigo is dedicated to providing low-cost wellness offerings, such as Community Acupuncture and Community Reiki. The Odigo Wellness building is BIPOC-, queer-, immigrant- and women-owned, and aims to increase access to healing services in the Twin Cities. Odigo also offers sliding-scale reiki classes, with a deeper sliding-scale for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community members, reflecting the center’s commitment to health equity and diversity.
